U.S. Citizen Services Office in San Pedro Sula

The office is located in the Banco Atlantida Principal Office in San Pedro Sula, Honduras on the 11th floor across Central Park. Telephone: 558-1580
Office Hours:
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Responsibilities of the American Citizens Services Office and Consular Agent:
The Consular Agent assists the Embassy in protecting the interests of U.S. citizens in Honduras. The Agent will be able to execute notarials, Reports of Birth Aboard and U.S. passport applications. The Agent will also assist US Citizens with emergency services such as arrests and deaths of U.S. citizens in Honduras. Note: The Consulate in Tegucigalpa must adjudicate all passport applications; therefore, applications taken in San Pedro Sula, if approved, will take approximately 3 to 4 weeks to be returned to the applicant. U.S. citizens who need to renew their passports for immediate travel should apply at the Consulate in Tegucigalpa.
Payment for Services at the American Citizens Services Office in San Pedro Sula:
All payments must be made directly to Banco Atlantida and Cargo Expreso once Consular Agent accepts the application.
The American Citizens Services Office will not handle visa requests or inquiries. Information on how to apply for visas can be found on the Embassy website. If additional information is needed, please contact the Consulate in Tegucigalpa, telephone 238-5114 and fax 237-1792. The NIV, IV and DHS accepts calls during the following hours:
Tourist/Non Immigrant Visa Section: Monday to Friday from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.
Residents/Immigrant Visa Section (DHS): Monday to Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Approved Immigrant Visa Petitions: Monday to Friday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
