Non Immigrant Visas
Administrative Processing
During your visa interview, if your case was temporarily suspended you received a blue or green handout. If you received a green handout for administrative processing, you can check the status of your case online (PDF - 106Kb). This page is updated whenever there is a change in the status of your case. There is no need to contact the Embassy as the information the Consular Section can give you over the phone is the same information available on this website.
If you received a blue handout for reasons other than administrative processing, the information on this page and in the case status report is not relevant to you. Instead you must provide the information or documentation requested on the handout.
How to Interpret the Case Status Report
- Locate your case number on the green handout given to you at the time of your interview.
- Go to the case status report (PDF - 106Kb) webpage and find your Case Number in the list.
- Note the case STATUS next to your case number.
There are only three case status remarks:
- “Pendiente”
- “Procesado”
- “Enviar pasaporte”
Each remark is explained below and instructions are given where applicable.
Pendiente (Pending Process)
Your case is still pending administrative processing. The Embassy cannot issue you a visa before completion of the processing. The Embassy cannot waive or expedite the processing. Please do not contact the Embassy, as the only information available is located on this website. The Consular Section has no additional information.
Procesado (Processed)
The administrative processing has been completed, and your visa will be adjudicated for approval or denial. If we have your passport and you have paid the Cargo Expreso delivery fee, the passport will be returned to you with the visa. You will be contacted via telephone if it is necessary for you to return to the Embassy.
Enviar Pasaporte (Send Passport)
The administrative processing has been completed and your visa has been approved, but we do not have your passport. Deliver or send your passport to the U.S. Embassy in Tegucigalpa.
Note: For Non Immigrant Visas, please include a copy of the green administrative processing handout.
You may send your passport through Cargo Expreso. You will need to pay Cargo Expreso a fee for the type of service requested. For more information, contact Cargo Expreso at:
