| To: | All American Citizens |
| From: | American Citizens Services Unit, Consular Section |
| Subject: | Warden Message – Remember to Vote! |
| Don’t
forget to send in your absentee ballot! The general election is November
7, 2006! You may drop off your absentee ballot at the U.S. Embassy on Avenida
La Paz in Tegucigalpa and we can mail it for you. At the website http://www.fvap.gov/pubs/vag/vagchapter3.html
you may check your state’s deadline to send in your ballot. Please
be aware that you should allow a couple extra days for the ballot to be
postmarked in the embassy post office. The website www.fvap.gov
is the official U.S. government voting site for overseas U.S. citizens.
If you still need to register to vote
and/or receive an absentee ballot, depending on your state, there still
may be time! Check http://www.fvap.gov/pubs/vag/vagchapter3.html
to see specific requirements for your state. You may pick up a postage-paid
Federal Post Card Application (FPCA), the form used to request an absentee
ballot, at the U.S. Embassy in Tegucigalpa, and we will mail it for you.
Or alternatively, you may print out the FPCA at http://www.fvap.gov/pubs/onlinefpca.html
and mail it on your own. * * * For more information, please visit the
