Regional Security Officer (RSO)

The Regional Security Officer (RSO) assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Tegucigalpa has security responsibility for the U.S. Embassy in Honduras Protection of U.S. Government personnel and assets is the RSO's primary objective.  The RSO is the U.S. Mission's senior U.S. law enforcement official.  Responsibilities include counter-terrorism, counter-intelligence, criminal and personnel investigations, physical security, technical security, VIP protection and host Government law enforcement liaison.
